“The addition of Lisa Ward to the Foundation’s Board ensures the organization will continue to benefit from a diversity of knowledge and expertise,” said René Eichem, executive director. “Lisa is an attorney who specializes in estate planning, so she brings a wealth of knowledge to our board.”

“I am also thrilled that Lisa Diederich and Pam Fulmer, whose terms expire the end of this year, chose to remain as Community Ambassadors. Their enthusiasm for and commitment to the mission of the Foundation is inspiring, and we are fortunate that they—and the rest of our ambassadors—will remain involved.”

The Wamego Community Foundation was established in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Since its inception, the Foundation has received approximately $1.3 million in gifts and donations and has distributed more than $600,000 back into the community, including to the river access boat ramp, scholarships, 4th of July Fireworks, the Wam-Sag-Man recreation trail, and the Wamego City Park Train Enhancement Project, just to name a few.
