WCF Announces 2010 Board of Directors and Advisors - December 07, 2009
(Dec. 7, 2009) Wamego, KS — The Wamego Community Foundation is pleased to announce the following Officers, Directors and Community Advisors for 2010:

“The addition of Steve Land, David Nelson, Jon Pachta, and Joyce Mermis to the Foundation’s Board ensures the organization will continue to benefit from a diversity of knowledge and expertise,” said René Eichem, executive director, “and I am really looking forward to working with them next year.
“I am also thrilled that Susan Symons, Donna Johnson, and Jaque Eichman, whose terms as Directors expire at the end of this month, chose to remain as Community Advisors. Their enthusiasm for and commitment to the mission of the Foundation is inspiring, and we are fortunate that they will remain involved.”
The Wamego Community Foundation was established in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Since its inception, the Foundation has received approximately $1.3 million in gifts and donations and has distributed back more than $600,000 to the community, including the river access boat ramp, scholarships, the Wam-Sag-Man recreation trail, and the Wamego City Park Train Enhancement Project, just to name a few.
