Additional FAQs:

Q: What kind of things can I put on the bricks that are to be laid permanently in the Yellow Brick Road?
A: You can put anniversary dates, birthdays, the date of your vacation to Wamego, memorials in honor of loved ones, quotes, or anything else you can think of that is not offensive or vulgar. Be creative!

Q: How do I pay for these bricks?
A: You may write a check made payable to the “Wamego Community Foundation – YBR fund,” pay by credit card, or order and pay online at http://www.thewcf.org/brickorder.shtml. The fund will be managed by the Wamego Community Foundation.

Mail checks to Wamego Community Foundation, PO Box 25, Wamego KS 66547.

Q: If I purchase a brick, is it considered a charitable donation and is it tax deductible?
A: If you pay for a brick that will become part of the permanent yellow brick road, then your payment is tax deductible as a charitable donation because you are not receiving anything in return for your donation other than the fact that you helped support the YBR fund with the Wamego Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

However, souvenir bricks are not tax deductible as a charitable contribution because you are receiving something in return for your money (i.e., a brick to take home).

Q: What is the S/H for?
A:
If an order is made for a “Limited Edition YBR Brick," we do offer shipping on them to out-of-town addresses. They can be paid for in the same manner, and all other payment options are the same if you wish to order other YBR bricks to be laid permanently in the road.

Q: Is there a character limit on the engraved text?
A: There is an 16 character limit on each line, which includes spaces. There is a 3-line limit.

Q:When will the Yellow Brick Road be paved with our bricks?
A: It depends on the length of time it takes to sell enough bricks in which to pave the walkway.
